Our regional organization known as the Bay Area League of Women Voters celebrates its annual League Day on Saturday, February 29, 2020. The Napa League is looking for two members to be our correspondents to attend the event (gratis) and report back to the Napa League board of directors. The event will be held in Fremont, CA.
The 2020 League Day is focused on our 100th year anniversary. The event is entitled, "Looking Back, Moving Forward." The scene will be set with Susie and Steve Sweeney authors of Paving the Way: Women’s Struggle for Political Equality in California. Panels include Panel I: Social Justice and Actions, Panel II: Empowerment in the Workplace and Community, Panel III: Political Empowerment with Call to Action and Next Steps discussions.
As we celebrate the League centennial celebration, the League is focused on the work yet to be done to attain voting rights for all. Find more information on at LWVBayArea.org
