Voter June 2025

With this month’s message I must say good-bye as I close out my 2-year tenure as President of LWV Napa County. As of the end of June, I will be handing over the President’s baton to our newly elected co-Presidents Yolanda Schonbrun and Bernadette Brooks (see Annual Meeting article below). I will continue to be very involved with our League as the current political climate requires us to all stay engaged. I will also continue to lead of our

Napa League communication committee and continue as the director of communications for LWV Bay Area.

The last two years have impressed upon me how much we need to stay involved in League work as there are constant challenges to our elections and democratic processes. The League at all levels, US, California, Bay Area and Napa County have responded to the call for action. Please join us when you can to provide the resources we need to help “Make Democracy Work”.

Voter will take a break in July while the new board and committee chairs gather to work on the goals and plans for the next year. The League retreat is planned for July 24th, from 10:00am – 1:00pm in the Napa Senior Center Maple room. All members are welcome to join us. Voter will return in August and our next regular Board meeting is scheduled for September 5th.

Until then, I hope you all find ways to recharge this summer…
