LWV of Napa County Book Club April Selection

The Napa League has started off the new year with the introduction of a monthly book club. Meeting on second Wednesday afternoons, we will discuss books that concern issues likely to be of interest to League members.

When: April 17th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Join League members to discuss book selections that are bound to be of interest to you. April's Selection, Greta Thunberg, The Climate Book: The Facts and the Solutions.

If a schoolgirl's strike could ignite a global protest, what could we do collectively if we tried? This thoughtful, well-researched book gathers together the knowledge we need to combat climate disaster and shares shocking revelations of greenwashing around the world. Her ultimate message is hopeful: once we are given the full scientific picture, how can we not act? She also urgently reminds us that we are living during the most decisive time in the history of humanity. She believes that together we can do the seemingly impossible, but it must be now.

The book may be ordered from the Bookmine stores in Napa and St. Helena.

To register, please click here and the meeting location will be emailed to you.
