Here Comes The Election!


You’ll want to save some of these dates. Here is a breakdown of candidate events and forums and their locations for each city and town in Napa County.


American Canyon: American Canyon Chamber of Commerce’s candidate event is on Thursday, October 3rd, 6:00–8:00 pm, at the American Canyon Boys and Girls Club,  60 Benton Way. Two people are vying for mayor and four candidates are running for two open seats on the city council. Our League will be present with registration forms and election information.Calistoga: Our LWV Napa County forum featuring city council candidates will be held at Calistoga High School’s Multi-use Room on Tuesday, October 8th, 6:00–7:00 pm,1608 Lake Street. Running are three candidates for two seats on the city council. A simultaneous Spanish translation will be available using headsets.


Yountville: The Yountville Chamber of Commerce is holding a town council candidate event on Wednesday, October 9th, 5:30–7:30 pm, at the Yountville Community Center, 6516 Washington Street. Four candidates are running for two open seats on the town council. Our League will be present with registration forms and election information.St. Helena: A forum will be held on Zoom on Thursday, October 10th, 7:00–8:30 pm. Click here to register to attend. Races are for mayor (two candidates) and city council (three candidates for two positions). There will also be brief explanations of Measures A-1 and A-2. A simultaneous Spanish translation will be available, and a recording in English may be watched after a few days on LWVnapa.com and our YouTube channel.


Napa: No event is currently planned for the mayor’s race, with two candidates for that seat. Two incumbents are running unopposed for the two open district city council seats.





State Senate District 3 Candidate Forum: The LWV Leagues in Yolo County are jointly sponsoring a District 3 State Senate Seat Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 3rd,⋅6:30 – 7:30pm, with candidates Thom Bogue and Chris Cabaldon. The seat is being vacated by State Senator Bill Dodd. The forum will be live streamed from the Woodland Community & Senior Center in Woodland, and will be available online via Woodland Television's YouTube Channel. https://youtube.com/live/PnRXRZkPJM0
